It gives me great pride to share the Annual Report 2024–25 of Saaras Impact Foundation. This year has been truly special, one where our belief that every family matters turned into real, visible change across many states in India.
When we began this journey, our goal was simple: to stand beside families who are often left behind and help them access what is rightfully theirs. Real independence, for us, is not just about freedom from the past, but about ensuring that every citizen can live with dignity today—with access to healthcare, education, livelihoods, and social security.
One of the biggest challenges we see is not the lack of schemes, but the lack of awareness. Awareness isn’t a soft outcome—it’s infrastructure. In our target districts, more than half the families didn’t know they were eligible for key government schemes...
More than 95,000 families accessed welfare schemes such as pensions, healthcare support, education, and livelihood opportunities.
As we look into the next year, our vision is to expand these interventions, build stronger partnerships, and ensure no family is left behind.
With gratitude,
Saleem Khan
Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Saaras Impact Foundation
This year, our efforts were focused on making that access easier, faster, and more transparent. By combining on-ground mobilization with technology-driven interventions, we ensured that families not only learned about their entitlements but also navigate complex processes with dignity.
Our approach has also instilled confidence in families as they access welfare systems. The encouraging results we have seen reaffirm our belief in designing sustainable systems that empower communities at the last mile.
With gratitude,
Dr. Raunaq Pradhan

Our field team enrolled her under various Digital Literacy and Financial Inclusion schemes. Kusumlat began attending training workshops and soon after registered under PMMVY and other livelihood-support schemes.
For Kusum, this wasn’t just a scheme—it became the beginning of hope. Today, she earns regularly through various village-level engagements, enabling her children to continue schooling. Kusum now feels more confident about making decisions for her family.

In the quiet village of Ramnagar, Sirohi, Mrs. Mancha Ram, an elderly widow, had spent years without receiving her rightful pension. She was unaware of her eligibility and had no one to guide her.
During a routine community visit, our team at Saaras Impact Foundation identified her case. Documentation challenges had kept her out of social security schemes. Our team helped her navigate the process, gather missing documents, and file her application.
Her application faced multiple rejections due to data mismatches. However, with consistent follow-ups and correction requests, her pension was finally approved after four long months of efforts.
She now receives ₹1,150 per month, providing a steady and reliable source of income again.
Her case also led to the connection with Ayushman Bharat, giving her access to free healthcare worth ₹5 lakh.
For Mancha Ram and hundreds like her across Sirohi, this support has renewed their confidence in government schemes. It ensures dignity, stability, and improved quality of life.

In Matharpur, Ghaziabad, 25-year-old Nitin Kumar lives with a locomotive disability. His father had a heavy emotional and financial strain on his family. His father, the only earning member, worked long shifts at a local store and often could not afford Nitin’s medical needs.
During a community outreach under the Divyang Yojana mission, our team met Nitin’s father. After explaining the eligibility requirements, documentation support was provided. On 21 April 2023, the disabled pension was approved, marking a major turning point for Nitin and his family.
With the monthly pension now in place, Nitin’s father can afford essential medical care and mobility support equipment. The family finally sees hope after years of struggle.
For his mother, the pension brought more than financial support— “It restored my faith that her son’s needs would not be forgotten.”

When Pradeep Kumar Upadhyay, a 42-year-old footwear vendor from Jhandapur, Ghaziabad, lost his stall in 2023, it was a major setback for his family. His stall had been his primary source of income for years.
Pradeep’s life took a turn when he came into contact with our team during an outreach drive. His stall was destroyed due to sudden rain, and the family was unable to recover financially. When the team informed him about the PM SVANidhi scheme, he was hesitant at first. However, documentation assistance and close follow-ups helped him finally submit his application.
On 20th June 2024, he finally received a loan of ₹10,000 under the PM SVANidhi scheme to restart his business once again. The funds were life-changing and helped him rebuild his small footwear stall.
That evening, Pradeep restarted his cart under the glow of a single streetlight. For the first time in months, his children’s faces were filled with hope.
“I didn’t think anyone would help me,” he shared. “I have restarted my life in just eleven days.”
Today, he earns regularly again, proudly repaying the loan as he works. His story is one of resilience, patience, and hope—a reminder that opportunities and timely support can help families move from crisis to stability once more.

For 56-year-old Santosh Devi, financial instability had always been her biggest worry. As a widow and mother of two, Santosh worked as a part-time domestic helper, earning very little. She lacked any formal documents or awareness of schemes that could support her.
During one of our early field visits under the Mission Sahayog initiative, our team met Santosh. She shared her struggles—irregular income, anxiety over medical emergencies, and no savings. After verifying her eligibility, our team registered her for the E-Shram Card, Labour Card, and the PM JJBY insurance scheme.
The impact was immediate. For the first time in years, she received access to the Labour Card benefits, accidental insurance, and government-supported health facilities. Santosh no longer worries about unexpected medical appointments or emergencies.
“Nothing feels better than knowing I’m not alone,” she said. “This card means my children won’t have to carry my burdens.”
She now walks confidently with her card, grateful for the support and the sense of self-respect it has restored in her life.
