Mission: Sahyog
About - Mission: Sahyog
Project Mission Sahyog is an initiative of MET–Reliance Foundation, implemented by Saaras Foundation in 23 villages of the Jhajjar district, Haryana. Launched in May 2022, the project works in a region with a high concentration of Scheduled Caste, minority, and economically deprived families. The main objective of Mission Sahyog is to empower people from deprived communities by increasing their access to the welfare policies run by the government.
Through door-to-door surveys, end-to-end application support, and active government advocacy, Mission Sahyog connects families with schemes that protect their health, livelihood, and dignity. Ayushman Bharat, E-Shram, Ration Cards, widow and old-age pensions, housing renovation grants, and family benefit schemes, among others.
Our Impact
- 10,517 individuals reached through community outreach and household surveys

The Policy
RTE Sec. 12(1)(c) mandates reservation of 25% entry-level seats in private unaided schools for children belonging to disadvantaged sections to create a more integrated and inclusive schooling system.
The Gaps
In UP, for a population of 19.9 Cr there are only 6 lac seats available for children to attend a high quality free education Out of the 6 lac, only 9% actually go to the underprivileged children they are intended for.
Target Group
Parents / Families / Children from socio economically weaker and disadvantaged communities.
Why do gaps exist?
- Lack of awareness on ground – application/seat is 0.25
- Lack of capacity in District offices for school mapping – only 25% school mapping done
- Lack of Student Tracking and Reimbursement system in MIS
